Bee Roots Redesign

Appropriately for Halloween, bee-roots.com looks different today. Like a stubborn post-Genius pangram, it finally dawned on me that I made a fundamental mistake in the site's design. It took forever because I build the site but don't use it. If I had a user experience tester, he or she would have found the problem on day 1.

When someone visits a source of clues, they're missing a few words, and have probably gone to a grid to find out the first letter or two, and maybe the length. Clues on this site are for roots, not answers. Up till now, the table has been ordered by root word. If you need a D7, there's no easy way to find out what clue you need. If the answer has a D- prefix, the root could be anywhere. The last thing I'd want in that situation is to work through several dozen clues to get the handful I need. Now you can get clues labeled with the first one or two letters of the answer, and also the length of the answer, if you want. If anybody still wants the original format, it's here also. I hope this makes the site a lot friendlier.
